Effective dissemination of findings is important in bridging the gap between the research-making process and society. Reaching audiences outside one’s circle is particularly important in a globalised world. In this workshop, participants will learn about three approaches for improving the visibility of their research findings. Participants will get hands-on experience in the creation of effective video abstracts, podcasts, and social media posts.

Could future robots and artificial intelligence systems have consciousness and genuinely human intelligence—or even superhuman intelligence? Is it possible for them to behave ethically? In this talk, Louis Vervoort will look at these questions from the point of view of philosophy of mind and AI.

HSE Outreach and Green HSE have organised a range of events to mark Earth Day, including a master class on making grass-head dolls, a screening and discussion of a surprise film related to the theme of the event, and a fun quiz.

Participants of the workshop at Shukhov Lab will witness the full cycle of plastic recycling, from sorting to the final product. They will work with a shredder and a manual injector and will even be able to take home some objects made from recycled materials.
