HSE Students, Lyceum Students and Staff Will Receive Discounts on Korean Air Flights

HSE and Korean Air have signed an agreement, which is valid until March 15, 2020 and applies to flights to East and South-East Asia, Australia and Oceania. HSE News Service explains who is eligible and how to take advantage of these discounts.
Who is entitled to the discount?
HSE students, lyceum students, staff and family members of HSE employees can get this discount. To use the discount, you need to be a member of the SKYPASS bonus programme.
Which flights are eligible for the discount?
The discount can be used when buying tickets for Korean Air flights departing from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Irkutsk and Vladivostok, to cities in South Korea, Japan, China, other countries of Southeast Asia, and Oceania (including Australia).
These flights are operated by Korean Air with transfers in Seoul, which can be especially useful for students of the HSE and Kyung Hee University Double Degree Programme in Economics and Politics in Asia, who can spend several months of study either in Korea or in another Asian country. They can use a long (up to six months) stopover in Seoul and don’t need to spend money to pay for a separate intra-Asian flight.
Which discounts are available?
Discounts for staff vary from 5% to 15% depending on the class of service and booking. Students and lyceum students will receive discounts from 6% to 10% depending on the season.
In addition, all recipients can take a second item of baggage free of charge: they need to send a request to mowdrs@koreanair.com after the ticket has been issued, but not later than five days before their departure.
How can you receive this discount?
To book and issue tickets, you should contact the travel company VIP SERVICE TRAVEL, which does not charge a service fee for issuing tickets.

Students and lyceum students only need a valid student card to receive the discount, while HSE staff need a valid pass to HSE buildings.
