Perm HSE continues to implement a joint MA programme with the University of Essex (UK) Business Strategies in a Global Environment.There are currently two Perm HSE students enrolled in the course – Marina Plyusnina and Yury Gritsiuk.

Christopher Gerry, the Academic Supervisor of the Department of Humanitarian and Social Sciences, has worked at the Higher School of Economics’ St. Petersburg campus since September 2014. Professor Gerry previously taught at University College London, where he conducted research on the economics of healthcare. More specifically, Professor Gerry studied how the economic situation affects a population’s health and the reforms BRICS countries carry out in this sphere.

As part of the 'Managing Human Resources' course, Perm HSE has hosted a lecture by Academic Supervisor of the Research Section on Public Private Partnership, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Management at the University of Padua (Italy), Dr. Paola Valbonese.

This year’s best ICEF students participated in a summer school course at the London School of Economics (LSE). Each year, ICEF students with the highest grades are given the opportunity to study on an ICEF scholarship at the London School of Economics and Political Science’s Summer School. Students Dmitry Kazantsev, Pavel Taranin, Vasily Bogdan and Ruslan Durdyyev give us their impressions of the course.

Anna Shpektor, Research Assistant at the Centre for Cognition and Decision Making and student at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics at Moscow State University took part in the Yale Summer Session this year. She gave the HSE news service a brief interview about her experience.

On the 16^th of August, CultFest 2014 was held at Tavricheskiy Sad, St Petersburg, organised by the international student organisation AIESEC. In addition to serving as an academic partner for the event, HSE conducted a workshop on international education for visitors and participants.

The 8^th RuSSIR-2014 (Russian Summer School in Information Retrieval), organized by the Higher School of Economics in Nizhny Novgorod and ROMIP, has ended.

Ten students from the Faculty of Law at the HSE Nizhny Novgorod received International Legal English Certificates (ILEC) confirming their high level of English proficiency in the legal profession. ILEC is the world’s first Cambridge exam in English for lawyers and diplomats; those who receive it are recognized as professionals who can freely communicate in English on legal topics.

Last year the HSE joined Coursera, the world's largest international educational website. Today the HSE offers a number of open online courses in economics as well as courses in applied mathematics, psychology, and courses at the intersection of these disciplines designed by HSE leading professors. Sergey Stepanov, Assistant Professor at ICEF and the Faculty of Economics, shared his expectations of the new online course he is currently working on in the May issue of the HSE Look.

On July 7-13 the Laboratory of Cultural Economics will hold an international summer school on ‘Impacts of Cultural Events on Small and Medium-size Art-oriented Towns’. Maria Dedova, Junior Research Fellow of the laboratory asked Valery Gordin, Head of the summer school to tell us about it.

A lecture course in international marketing by Anna Zarkada, Assistant Professor at the Athens University of Economics and Business, has begun at the HSE Perm. The course is intended for undergraduate students in the Faculty of Management.

Immo Rebitschek, postgraduate student of the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, gave a lecture on the system of education in Europe and delivered a masterclass on historical research at the HSE Perm.
