Anton Kotenko, a Junior Research Fellow of the Centre for Historical Research, has received the Eugene and Daymel Shklar Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Ukrainian Studies at Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute for the fall term of 2015/16.

On October 14, 2015 the New Cities Foundation will host ‘Cities on the Move’, a one-day event exploring the multifaceted nature of urban mobility and its impact on the cities.  Mikhail Blinkin, Director of the Institute for Transport Economics and Transport Policy Studies, is invited to participate in the event as one of the 150 leading experts in urban studies in the world according to the Urban Mobility ranking.

Sergey Ivanov, Professor at the School of Philology took part in the international symposium ‘The Holy Fools’ as co-organizer of the event. The symposium was held on September 11-12 at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Ivanov presented the report ‘Holy Foolery as an Ambiguous Sanctity by Nicon of the Black Mount’.

On June 24-26, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University hosted the conference ‘Creative Industries and Sustainable Development: Bridging Theory and Practice’ in Vilnius, Lithuania. The main focus of the conference’s papers and discussions was the end of the year-long KAVA project ‘A Complex Research on the Impact of Environmental Factors on a Creator,’ in which more than 10 international universities, including HSE St. Petersburg, took part.
