In this issue of The HSE Look, we are happy to present three different takes on a long-running format of professional discussion of research - a seminar series, so as to both bring additional attention to events themselves, as well as enable organizers to share their experience with other colleagues. The article ‘Developing instruments to assess and compare the quality of engineering education: the case of China and Russia’ by the group of IOE staff members (Elena Kardanova, Prashant Loyalka,  Igor Chirikov, Ekaterina ENchikova) was published on the online platform of the journal ‘Assessment & Evaluation in Higher Education’ issued by Taylor & Francis.

The book ‘Wandering Workers. Mores, Behavior, Way of Life, and Political Status of Domestic Russian Labor Migrants’ has been nominated for the Distinguished Scholarly Monograph Award in the American Sociological Association’s Section on Labor and Labor Movements .

In 2016 there will be published the book by Associate Professor Ivan Sablin  'Governing Post-Imperial Siberia and Mongolia, 1911–1924: Buddhism, Socialism and Nationalism in State and Autonomy Building'.

Czech publishing house ‘Pavel Mervart’ issued the translation of the monography ‘Fools for Christ: A Cultural History’ by Sergey Ivanov, Professor at the School of Philology.

A review of the book prepared by Fabio Sabatini (LCSR associate researcher) was published in the Journal of Economic Literature.

HSE is starting a survey of articles and comments made by staff in the foreign press, in blogs and social media. The Office of Public Relations and Online Media will gather the data.
