Ilya Prakhov, Research Fellow at the Center for Institutional Studies has taken part in the 4th International Conference on Academic Profession in Knowledge Society, held at Seoul National University.

On April 6th-9 th , the IEEE Latin American Test Symposium was held under the auspices of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in the city of Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil.

On April 4th, 2016, the 14th Spacecraft Charging Technology Conference took place in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. Vladimir Saenko, Professor at MIEM School of Electronic Engineering, presented a report on ‘External and Internal Spacecraft Charging Effects and Mitigation Techniques. Russia’s Approach’.

From April 7 – 10, 2016, the 74th annual Midwest Political Science Association (MPSA) Conference took place in Chicago. The MPSA Conference is one of the most respected events in the political scientists’ professional community. Papers in over than 80 sections in various political science research areas were presented at the conference. The conference attracted over 6,000 political scientists, economists and sociologists from 70 countries, including Nikita Savin, lecturer at the HSE School of Political Science.

Evgeniya Golman, lecturer at the School of Sociology Department of General Sociology, spoke at one of the largest recent interdisciplinary conferences on body studies, ‘Doing the Body in the 21 st  Century.’

On March 14th, 2016, an Russian-American seminar on social entrepreneurship and social innovation was held at the Centre for Social Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation Studies. Jeffrey Robinson, Alexandra Moskovskaya, Alexander Chepurenko and several Russian social entrepreneurs took part in the event.

On March 8-9 the forum ‘Communication on Top — Davos’ brought together best world specialists in communication studies.

On March 12-13 Marina Bobrik-Froemke and Roman Krivko, Associate Professors at the School of Linguistics, took part in the conference on ancient Slavic studies that was held in Germany.

Alexandra Sazhina, Lecturer at the Department of Management, HSE in Perm, took part in an international conference, Beyond the Great Beauty: Rescaling Heritage and Tourism. The event took place at the Rimini campus of the University of Bologna, Italy.

On February 4 – 5, 2016, a conference ‘Market economy and rural worlds in Eastern Europe’ organized by the University of Bordeaux’s Department of Sociology and the Emile Durkheim Centre took place in France.

Participants of the International Research Project 'Comparative Historical Studies of Empire and Nationalism' Alexander Semyonov and Ivan Sablin took part in the 130th Annual Meeting of American Historical Association that was held on January 7-10 in Atlanta, USA.

The 11th Annual International Conference on Legal Reform in Russia for young researchers and students has taken place in Ekaterinburg. Over 90 students from Russia and other countries took part in the event. The participants discussed topical issues of information, international and environmental law, and many other legal issues throughout the 14 sections of the conference.
