On May 7^th, the Academic Supervisor of the Higher School of Economics, Evgeny Yasin, celebrated his 82^nd birthday.

On April 20, 2016, during the XVII HSE April International Academic Conference, Michel Sollogoub, Professor at Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne University, was awarded the tittle of Honorary Professor of the Higher School of Economics.

At the latest plenary session of the XVII April International Academic Conference, participants discussed a thought-provoking new paper called The Russian Economy Before the Long Transitionby Natalia Akindinova, Yaroslav Kuzminov, and Evgeny Yasin of the Higher School of Economics.

April 19^th marks the official start of the XVII April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development. Below, HSE Academic Supervisor Evgeny Yasin, who is also the Chairman of the Conference’s Programme Committee, discusses what participants can expect from this year’s conference.  

On  April 19-22, 2016, the National Research University Higher School of Economics with a support of the World Bank organizes the XVII April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development. 

On December 23, 2015, the 15^th Golden HSE Award ceremony took place at the Central House of Artists.

The Iron Egg awarding ceremony has taken place at Sunlight Studio Hall club in Moscow. The prize is awarded to HSE students for their extracurricular initiatives.

Director of the Institute of Demography, HSE, Tenured Professor Anatoly Vishnevsky was singled out for his outstanding contribution to Russian economic thought. The prize giving ceremony was in Moscow on 12th November.
