XXIII Yasin International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development Begins
From April 5–22, 2002, the XXIII Yasin (April) International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development will be held in Moscow. Its participants include leading scientists and experts, representatives from the business community, politicians and leaders of state bodies. Over 700 papers will be presented at the Conference and discussed in almost 150 sessions and 24 sections.

Evgeny Yasin: Thoughts on Russia, Ukraine, China and the West
In the last two editions of his radio programme ‘Tectonic Shift’ on Moscow’s liberal radio station ‘Echo Moscow’ on the 12th and 19th May, HSE Academic Supervisor Evgeny Yasin discussed Russia’s relationship with the West, with Ukraine, whether Russia can survive western sanctions and the economic wisdom of turning to China as an alternative trading partner. Academic Council: New Departments and Achievements
On June 29th 2012, the latest regular session of the Higher School of Economics Academic Council took place at the HSE. The agenda included information on the launch of new faculties and departments, approval of certain regulatory documents, as well as the results of the voting process for the teaching staff competition.
Strategy of Development for Russia
On April 3rd the 13th April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development opened at the HSE Cultural Center. The topic of its first plenary session was the strategy of development for Russia.
Development of the University: Evaluations by IAC Members
On May 30th a meeting of the International Advisory Committee of the HSE Development Programme took place at the HSE. The committee was formed in early 2010 and this was its first full assembly.
