Francisco Cabrera, a Research Fellow in the Center for Institutional Studies (CINST) at HSE is working under the supervision of Dr. Maria Yudkevich on projects on human capital accumulation using the Russian Longitudinal Monitoring Survey - HSE. He is planning to stay in Moscow for one year at least.

This paper studies the publication productivity of inbreds and non‐inbreds among Russian academics. The authors did not find any difference in current publication productivity of inbreds and non‐inbreds. However, they found a difference in the cumulative publication productivity: non‐inbreds are being more productive on an individual level throughout their careers.
More than 160 proposal were submitted to the conference and only 64 papers were accepted among which there are 3 presentations by CInSt researchers.

On October 26, the Project Council concluded its seventh annual meeting in Moscow. The book "Professorial Pathways, Academic Careers in a Global Perspective" written with the participation of Maria Yudkevich, received the Council of International Higher Education (CIHE) Award for Significant Research on International Higher Education from the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE) – 2019
The award is granted annually to a scholarship that has made a significant contribution to higher education research in a comparative perspective. The chapter by Maria Yudkevich is devoted to the Russian system of higher education.
Students, faculty, and alumni of HSE University and Erasmus University Rotterdam gathered to celebrate the 25th anniversary of educational cooperation between the two universities. Attendees reminisced about the past, discussed the future, and explored career opportuntiies at a roundtable, 'Building a Career with EUR'. The newly renovated Pokrovka complex in Moscow was one of many surprises for the participants, which included representatives of Nuffic Neso Russia and Erasmus University alumni.
