HSE University and Museum of Moscow Organise Excursions to Durasov House

In order to preserve and promote Moscow’s cultural heritage, HSE University and the Museum of Moscow have signed a cooperation agreement. As part of this partnership, they organise excursions to the Durasov House, an architectural monument of the late XVIII century, which is part of the university building complex on Pokrovsky Bulvar. The first tour will take place on March 30.

Cultural and Historical Heritage Days, May 20

The City Excursion Bureau is offering free tours around the Moscow Government House (Moscow Governor-General House) and Petrovsky Palace on May 20. These two historical buildings are used by the Moscow Government and Mayor as administrative and official venues, and are usually closed to the public. On the Cultural and Historical Heritage Days, however, they open their doors to visitors wanting to look behind the scenes. Registration opens on May 10.

The educational project ‘Moscow Through the Engineer’s Eyes’ has launched tours of the famous House of Narkomfin, now half-abandoned and awaiting reconstruction. It is a world-famous piece of Soviet avant-garde architecture, and was intended to teach Soviet citizens how to live in a socialist utopia.
