Russian as a Foreign Language in Cross-Linguistic and Cross-Cultural Perspective

Ethnolinguistic expeditions help to understand the mechanisms of linguistic interaction and cultural exchange between different ethnic groups. As part of a team from the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, we managed to record interviews with informants in the city of Korça and in Slavic villages of the Albanian region of Prespa on the topic of traditional folk culture and the terminology that governs it among Macedonians who are in close contact with the Albanian and Aromanian populations. The collected corpus of texts will be used to describe the contact-related lexical and grammatical features of the language of the Macedonian dialects of Prespa.
