Academic Internship (University of Belgrade)
On November 14, 2025, Natalia Muravleva, Academic Supervisor of the educational program “Russian as a Foreign Language in Cross-Linguistic and Cross-Cultural Perspective,” tdelivered a lecture entitled "Complex Cases of Russian Grammar: Verbs of Motion" to third-year Russian language students as part of a long-term academic internship at the Department of Slavic Studies, Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade (Republic of Serbia). Particular attention was paid to the semantic description of verbs of movement and the narrow subgroup of verbs of motion, as well as to the formation of new constructions based on prefixed verbs of motion in colloquial Russian.

For Serbian students, Russian non-prefixed verbs of motion present a particular challenge, as they lack direct equivalents in Serbian, unlike prefixed ones, for example. It was interesting to explore new constructions with verbs of motion, which are actively spreading in colloquial Russian and have already become familiar to native speakers: "I didn't get it" or "I can't do it".
