Dialogue of Cultures: Helping International Students Adapt to Russia

On May 27, 2026, the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language (RFL) hosted an interactive meeting for international students, which covered topics such as academic ethics, social norms, Russian values, gender etiquette, and digital security.
The main goal of the event was to strengthen mutual understanding, prevent intercultural conflicts, and foster a respectful and safe environment both within the university and beyond.
The organizers paid special attention to personal and legal safety. Students were informed about Russian legislation and received practical advice on how to avoid misunderstandings arising from cultural differences. The meeting was held in an open dialogue format, helping the participants better understand life in their new country.
