In this report, based on the experience of previous crises using sectoral economic growth accounts and Russia KLEMS data, possible sources of long-term growth in the Russian economy after the 2020 crisis were considered. By analogy with the recovery after 2008, it is likely to be associated with increased demand from world markets and the reaction of the Russian oil and gas complex. Accordingly, measures to stimulate growth should include finding ways to increase the efficiency of the expanded oil and gas sector, stimulating the adaptation of advanced technologies, and preserving existing adaptation channels, for example, successful export-oriented industries in global value chains.
The discussion was also attended by Alexander Zaitsev (HSE University), Alexander Rubinshtein (IEF RAS), Igor Nikolaev (FBK), Anton Moiseev (RAS).
