Growing Partnership with the HSE Contributes to Comparative Social Research on Russia and Germany

Katharina Blum has longstanding ties with Russia, having studied in the Faculty of Philosophy at Lomonosov Moscow State University. She knows and loves Russian literature, especially Mikhail Bulgakov, as well as those places in Moscow where the action takes place in his novel The Master and Margarita. She studies the Russian and German elite through comparative analysis, as well as other topics common to Russia and Germany.

Educational Migration Promotes Russia’s National Interests

Nadezhda Radina, Professor at the HSE Faculty of Humanities in Nizhny Novgorod, studied psychological well-being among foreign students in Russia and presented her findings in a report ‘Educational Migration in the Context of the New Migration Policy of Russia’, which was prepared for the XV April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development.

Dr. Marek Dabrowski, CASE Fellow at the CASE — Center for Social and Economic Research in Warsaw, Poland, has participated in every HSE April Conference since 2001, missing just the 2000 inaugural event.  A professor with decades of experience in the field of economics, Dr. Dabrowski’s current areas of expertise range from monetary and fiscal policies and political economies in transition to perspectives on European integration and European Neighborhood Policy.
