The Latest on Human Infants

Professor  Emmanuel Dupoux , Paris, Ecole Normale Supérieure ( ENS) will visit the HSE, Moscow  for a lecture entitled  ‘Quantitative modeling of early language acquisition’ on November, 15, 2013. He shared a few ideas with the HSE news service and spoke about his research interests.

Energy Consumers and Suppliers Need to Work Together

The experts expect changes in the world energy market, and Russia and Japan can collaborate to develop a concept for energy security in the Asian region. Nobuo Tanaka, former Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, recently delivered a lecture at the HSE.

The Solar System and the Asteroid Threat

On September 11-13, 2013, an international seminar “The Solar System and the Asteroid Threat” will take place at the HSE. Mark Boslough, Professor at the University of New Mexico and a member of the technical staff at Sandia National Laboratories, and Roberto Furfaro, Professor at the University of Arizona and the head of the Space Systems Engineering Laboratory, will speak on the issues. Researchers from Italy have been working on a joint project with the HSE’s Professor Olga Demidova looking at “The Political Economy of Youth Unemployment”. Professor Enrico Marelli, and Prof. Maria Laura Parisi, Economists at the University of Brescia and Elina De Simone from the University of Naples Parthenope, answered the HSE news portal’s questions about their research into youth unemployment in Russia and Italy.
