The HSE Business Incubator works as a business accelerator, helping start-ups raise investment through a network of business angels, mentors and partners. The incubator is open not only to HSE students and graduates, but also for other startuppers. Below is some information on the programmes it offers, as well as about some common mistakes startuppers should try to avoid.

HSE Launching Student Startup Competition

The HSE Business Incubator is announcing the start of a student business project competition called the HSE{Business}Cup-2018, organised with the support of the corporate accelerator MTS StartUp Hub. The students with the best ideas will receive up to 200,000 rubles to make their projects a reality. The teams can also count on additional funds from MTS – a stipend and business grant worth 150,000 rubles.

How to Find Your Sensei at HSE

A new mentoring programme has kicked off at HSE that gives students the opportunity to choose an HSE graduate to be their ‘sensei’. These can be people who have already evolved professionally in their field or who have implemented a business idea similar to that of their mentees. HSE’s Business Incubator Ranked 7th in the World by UBI Global

The UBI Awards Ceremony was held on February 22 at the World Incubation Summit at Ryerson University, Toronto. HSE’s Business Incubator has entered the ranking for the second in a row. In 2015, it was ranked 14th in the category ‘best business incubator managed by a university’ among more than 100.

Tele2 Opens Workshop at HSE Business Incubator

Tele2, a mobile network operator, and HSE Business Incubator are set to begin cooperating in youth entrepreneurship and start-up projects.

HSE Business Incubator Named  Incubator of the Year by the Internet Initiatives Development Fund

The HSE’s business incubator was recognized by the Internet Initiatives Development Fund (IIDF) as Incubator of the Year in the first youth internet entrepreneurship forum.

Winners of Startup of the Year Competition Selected

On February 19, the award ceremony for the 2015 Startup of the Year competition was held at Moscow’s Digital October Centre. Nearly 300 applications were submitted for the competition from Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus. Twelve of the best projects made it to the finals in four main categories, as well as in a special category called ‘People’s Love.’ The winning teams included students and alumni of the Higher School of Economics.

UBI Global Ranks HSE Business Incubator One of Europe’s Top 10 Incubators

The Higher School of Economics’ Business Incubator placed seventh in the UBI Global 2015 ranking of the best university business incubators in Europe. The results were announced at the regional UBI Awards in Europe ceremony in Turin.
