Performer on the "Business Ethics" track
Project. "Tools of business ethics management: measurement of ethics and social responsibility of the company, ethics training in the company and mechanism of self-regulation of ethics on the market" (leader Storchevoy Maxim Anatolievich).
The adoption of ethical norms in economic activity is a condition of its sustainability, efficiency, and public approval. Business ethics is the most demanded field of ethical research and practical development; this project is planned to be self-supporting. Applied directions of the project: 1) development of ethics in Russian companies through the development and promotion of training courses and pieces of training for employees and managers, integration of ethical norms into the corporate culture of companies, 2) prevention of unethical behavior on the market through various self-regulation projects (associations, professional communities, codes, etc.).
This year’s conference topic was ‘Student Experience at a Modern University: from an Enrollee to a Graduate’. Over the three days, researchers from Russia and other countries discussed the individual and institutional factors that determine students' educational experience, the impact of this experience on educational performance, and its influence on labour market success. The conference took place from October 25–27 and featured over 90 presentations.
From next year, students of the Bachelor's programme 'Political Science and World Politics' will be able to develop their project skills in a specialised seminar and a course of projects based on a 'project service learning' method. Magdalena Gaete, Head of the Laboratory for Reputation Management in Education (RepLab), will deliver the project seminar and coordinate projects. We talked to Prof. Gaete about what students should expect from the programme and why participation in projects is useful.
