Employment history

Natalia S. Karpova has been working on problems of international business, world economy and international relations for more than twenty five years, combining research and teaching with the practice of consultant for domestic and foreign companies. He passed scientific training at Harvard Business School (HBS) and the Institute for Management Development (IMD). In 2008-2012 Natalia was a head of the Institute of International Business Higher School of Economics. She was a member of a group of experts for the Russian government working on the legislation documents and regulation acts  focused on foreign investment, the development of joint ventures and business education in Russia. Areas of her professional interests include issues of international business development in Russia and abroad; the development of foreign economic activities of industries / sectors of the Russian economy in a globalizing world economy; world experience of innovative development; Russia's image abroad; International Marketing; business cultures and their impact on competitiveness of nationas; development of business leader’s competencies. He has more than 40 publications, including monographs and articles on foreign trade, foreign trade and international marketing. Natalia Karpova is actively involved in research projects in Russia and abroad.

Profile

Natalia Karpova has been working on the problems of international business, world economy and international relations for over twenty years, combining research and teaching with advising to some leading international companies and organizations, including being member of advisory councils.

Natalia Karpova was one of the authors of first in Russia textbooks on foreign economy activities, foreign trade and marketing. Since 1986 she has been member of the group of leading experts as part of governmental working groups for the projects on foreign investment attraction, joint entrepreneurship development and business education in Russia.

Natalia Karpova heads advisory and research councils on international business, carries out work on HR capacity development for international business, leads the work of the Student Research Center of International Business, works with high achieving students, organizes and participates in educational programmes (corporate, short-term, continuing professional education) in Russia and abroad.
