Post-graduation Leave after Final State Certification

Upon successful completion of Final State Certification (hereinafter, “FSC”), students may be granted a post-graduation leave.

The duration of a post-graduation leave shall be determined as per the HSE Academic Calendar for an Ongoing Academic Year.

Procedure for granting a leave

Prior to the start of FSC, each student in his/her graduating year may submit an application for a post-graduation leave via the “Completion of Studies”  service in their MyHSE Services Account

Students, who have not applied for leave, shall be subject to dismissal from HSE University due to their completion of studies, upon successful completion of FSC

With respect to students, who have applied for post-graduation leaves, a directive shall be issued for granting them a post-graduation leave, whose date of completion shall be determined as per the HSE Academic Calendar for Ongoing Academic Year. Students may seek a shorter post-graduation leave than that provided for in the Academic Calendar

Degree certificates are issued no later than eight working days after the completion of FSC, as set by the Academic Calendar, including for students who are currently on leave

Persons, who have requested post-graduation leaves, shall retain their student status. For learners, who study in government-funded places and are eligible for scholarships, their scholarship payments shall be extended for the entire period of a post-graduation leave. Students, who reside in a dormitory, may retain their dorm space until the end of leave (i.e., their formal dismissal)

Students, who have not applied for a post-graduation leave after the successful completion of FSC, are subject to dismissal from HSE University due to their completion of studies
