Post-graduation Leave after Final State Certification
A student may be granted an official vacation (post-graduation leave) after passing the Final State Certification. The duration of a leave shall be determined according to the HSE Academic Calendar.
If you have filed a request for post-graduation leave, you shall retain your student status for the duration of your leave after graduation. If you are a state-funded student and are entitled to a scholarship, you will continue to receive your scholarship during your official vacation. If you reside at the HSE dormitory, you will retain your right to stay there until the end of your post-graduation leave.
If you are a student in your final year, you can apply for post-graduation leave by submitting a request addressed to the HSE Rector before the start of the Final State Certification process.
If you didn’t submit a request for leave, you shall be duly dismissed from HSE upon the completion of Final State Certification.
If you submitted a relevant request for leave, you shall be granted an official vacation based on a relevant HSE directive. The duration of your leave will be established according to the HSE Academic Calendar. You may request that your official vacation be made shorter than the duration specified in the HSE Academic Calendar.
Your degree certificate/diploma shall be issued within 8 working days after the end of Final State Certification, as fixed in the HSE Academic Calendar, even if you have been granted a post-graduation leave.
