Approximately 150 students, young researchers and teachers from more than 10 countries took part in the school. They were joined by representatives of large companies in the IT sector, including Yandex, Microsoft, Mail.ru, Google, and ABBYY.

HSE’s international summer school on cyber law took place for its third time this year and saw the participation of young academics from Russia, Great Britain, Italy, Germany, Slovakia, Armenia, India and a number of other countries.
The 4 th Summer School of the Laboratory for Comparative Social Research (LCSR) was centered around Categorical Data Analysis and saw the participation of more than 40 junior academics from universities and research centres of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Italy, Germany, Poland, Romania, Israel and the U.S.
From July 31 to August 4, HSE Nizhny Novgorod will hold the Russian Summer School in Political Linguistics, bringing in a host of international experts to offer their unique perspectives to the programme.

On July 21, students from the Southwest University of Political Science and Law (Chongqing, China) arrived the HSE Nizhny Novgorod to study the basics of Russian legislation in the areas of intellectual, property, civil and criminal law.
From July 7 – 13, 2014, the Laboratory of Economics of Culture at the HSE in St. Petersburg held an International Summer School ‘Impacts of Cultural Events on Small and Medium-size Art-oriented Towns’ (ICE – SMART). This was the first summer school organized as part of the master’s programme ‘Experience Economy: Hospitality and Tourism Management’.
The HSE International Laboratory of Quantitative Finance (ILQF) ran a summer school on mathematical finance near St. Petersburg. The lecturers were leading international academics and representatives of major investment funds, one of which opened its own representation in the laboratory.
From 29 June to 12 July the HSE Laboratory of Comparative Social Research is holding the Fourth International Summer School on Categorical Data Analysis in Zelenogorsk in the suburbs of St Petersburg. This year academics have come both from the Russian regions and from abroad — CIS, Germany, Israel, Romania and the USA.
The International Summer School, ‘Impacts of Cultural Events on Small and Medium-size Art-oriented Towns,’ has begun. Participants of the School include alumni of the Experience Economy: Hospitality and Tourism Management Master’s Programme, undergraduates and graduate students of HSE’s Moscow campus, as well as students, young lecturers and researchers from various universities in Poland, Slovenia, Kyrgyzstan, South Africa, and Japan.
