The International Forum for Young Scholars of Soviet and Post-Soviet History and Culture

In 2017 The International Center for the History and Sociology of World War II and Its Consequences (on July 1, 2021, it was reorganized into the  Institute for Advanced Soviet and Post-Soviet Studies (ISPI), open the launch of a new annual academic convention, the International Forum for Young Scholars of Soviet and Post-Soviet History and Culture.

This forum is intended to allow young scholars the opportunity for interdisciplinary cross-fertilization with their own peers and with an esteemed group of senior scholars. We invite candidates from all sub-disciplines of history who are interested in presenting scholarly papers on Soviet and post-Soviet history and culture. Candidates from the disciplines of cultural studies, anthropology, Slavic studies, art history, literary, and cinema studies are also welcome.

The first session of the forum was held from December 11 to 13, 2017. It was attended by 20 post-graduate students and Ph. D. candidates from the world's leading universities. The report on the first session of the forum can be found here (in Russian).

The following year session of the International forum of young researchers of Soviet and post-Soviet history and culture was held from November 29 to December 1, 2018.

The forum is open to Ph.D. students and young scholars who have completed their Ph.D.’s within the past three years. Applicants from all countries are welcome.
