Master’s Programme 'Comparative Social Research' - Webinar
November 12, 2019 at 16:00 (GMT+3)
The webinar will describe the main features of the English-taught MA programme 'Comparative Social Research', which is a joint-venture by the School of Sociology and the International Laboratory of Comparative Social Research at HSE University. All classes are held in Moscow in the first year, followed by a semester-long research internship in Russia or abroad. We also offer students the opportunity to participate in two double-degree tracks with Free University Berlin or EHESS Paris. The curriculum includes theoretical and topic courses, and, in particular, courses that focus on quantitative and qualitative methods of comparative inquiry. Courses are complemented by numerous workshops by international guest lecturers. Our graduates put their skills into practice by continuing their studies at the doctoral level or working in research units of international organizations, think tanks, and private companies.
Speaker: Christian Fröhlich, Academic Supervisor of the programme.
