On February 16, 2026, a joint seminar was held by the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy (IDLab) and Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) under the project titled “Internationalization of Companies from Developing Countries: The Role of Intellectual Resources in Response to Exogenous Shocks,” implemented within the framework of HSE University’s “International Academic Cooperation” initiative. The seminar featured presentations of three studies addressing intellectual capital mobility, business resilience to sanctions pressure, and mechanisms of early internationalization by firms in emerging markets.

In January, HSE University hosted the third GameDevFest of the Faculty of Computer Science—a computer game festival organised by the School of Software Engineering and the project group ‘Computer Game Software Engineering—PIKI’ with the participation of the Vintorog game studio. Guests had the opportunity to play a variety of video games, including demo versions created by FCS students and other aspiring game designers.

On February 11, 2026, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin presented the Moscow Government Prizes for Young Scientists for 2025. Among the 77 laureates was Evgeny Knyazev, Associate Professor of the Basic Department of the Shemyakin-Ovchinnikov Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry RAS at HSE University's Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, and Head of the Molecular Physiology Laboratory. Evgeny Knyazev was awarded for a cycle of research on the role of microRNA in the mechanisms of development and diagnostics of oncological, viral and inflammatory diseases, and preeclampsia.

IDLab Seminar: AI Against Climate Risks
On January 23, 2026, a scientific seminar was held at the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy (IDLab). During the seminar, laboratory researcher Michael Appiah presented a report on the role of artificial intelligence and digitalization in mitigating climate risks. The study addressed whether modern technologies can help countries adapt to the consequences of climate change.

Trapeznikov Institute of Control Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences together with HSE University’s International Centre of Decision Choice and Analysis hosted the All-Moscow Seminar “Expert opinion and data analysis”. Ivan Makarov, a Research Assistant at the International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration, made a report on the topic “The Problem of Multicollinearity in Public Administration Indicators and Tools for Overcoming It”, within which he presented a part of his PhD dissertation study to specialists in the field of data analysis.

2025 Scientific Collaboration Outcomes: HSE University in Perm and Iran University of Science and Technology
The first year of the project "Internationalization of Companies from Developing Countries: The Role of Intellectual Resources in Response to Exogenous Shocks", implemented in 2025–2027 under the HSE University Joint Basic Research Projects ‘International Academic Cooperation’ competition, has been successfully concluded. The project is carried out by the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy at HSE University in collaboration with Iran University of Science and Technology, under the supervision of Maria Molodchik and Amir Zakeri. All planned commitments for the first year have been fully fulfilled.
