On May 1, 2020, the international webinar of the International Laboratory for Social Integration Research was held together with the “Autism. Regions” association and the “Vykhod” Foundation for parents, teachers and researchers from different regions of  Russia, as well as from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

The first research seminar of the International Laboratory of Statistical and Computational Genomics had been postponed almost a month due to COVID-19. In April, however, the event finally took place. Laboratory Head Vladimir Shchur discusses what life is like for scientists in self-isolation during the pandemic, what genomics is, and why gesturing is important when teaching online.

On March 5, the regular seminar of the Modern Demography series was held. At the seminar, Evgeny Mikhailovich Andreev, head of the International Laboratory for Population and Health, presented the report "Inequality in the infant mortality rate among the population of modern Russia."

The Department of Fundamental Mathematics of the Higher School of Economics and the International Laboratory of Dynamical Systems and Applications invite students who are interested in studying of various branches of mathematical science to participate in the student workshop “Mathematical Spring - 2020. Invitation to Dynamical Systems”.

51st Annual Convention of Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies was held in San Francisco (USA) on November 23-26, 2019. ICSID staff members Andrei Yakovlev, Ekaterina Borisova, Israel Marques, Amanda Zadorian and Guzel Gariffulina as well as ICSID associate fellows Michael Rochlitz and Alexander Libman took part in the convention.

Andrei Yakovlev and Yulia Rodionova took part in the Analytics for Management and Economics Conference (AMEC 2019) that was held in St. Petersburg on September 27-28, 2019.

At the end of the summer members of the Laboratory presented their researches at two large international conferences on linguistics — SLE and ALT.

9th summer school "Algebra and Geometry" for graduate and postgraduate students and young researches has finished

We have made four poster presentations at OHBM-2019, a major neuroscience conference held in Rome and sponsored by the Organization for Human Brain Mapping.

On Wednesday, June 19 the all-Russian seminar "Mathematical methods of decision analysis in economics, finance and politics" was held. G. Almukhametova gave a lecture on "Network analysis of scientific interaction on the problems of the Arctic".
