HSE Signs Cooperation Agreement with Université Grenoble Alpes

The Higher School of Economics and Université Grenoble Alpes (Grenoble Alpes University) have signed a cooperation agreement, initiated by HSE Faculty of Computer Science. Under the agreement the universities will organize academic exchange programmes, research and educational activities, and joint research projects.

Erasmus Mundus Action 2 project AURORA ended

Erasmus Mundus Action 2 project AURORA  – Towards Modern and Innovative Higher Education has closed on 14.07.2016. Altogether 240 academic mobilities and visits were implemented throughout the project lifetime.

HSE Students in All Fields of Study Can Now Choose Exchange Programmes in China

HSE and East-China Normal University (ECNU) have signed a new student exchange agreement expanding the range of opportunities for student mobility in all areas of studies, including social studies, humanities, and philosophy, as well as computer science, mathematics, and physics. The agreement was signed as part of the ECNU delegation’s visit headed by Tong Shijun, chairman of the ECNU University Council, to HSE.

Three HSE Educational Projects Receive Support of the European Commission

Funding through the European programme Erasmus+ will be allocated to the development of a Master’s programme in clinical linguistics, the organization of a summer school on institutional analysis, and the creation of Russia's first courses on education law. 

University of Turin, Italy - New call for visiting scientists

Dear colleagues!
The University of Turin (Italy) is glad to inform you that they have published a new call for visiting scientists.This program called “I@UNITO” offers 32 fellowships to foreign researchers wishing to spend a training and research period at the Departments of the University of Turin. Candidates should have a degree from a foreign University as well as be citizens and resident out of Italy.

Meeting with delegation of the University of Iceland

On June 10, 2016 the delegation of the University of Iceland together with the representatives from the Embassy of Iceland to the Russian Federation visited Higher School of Economics, Moscow. The delegation of University of Iceland was represented by Mr. Jón Atli Benediktsson, Rector, Mr.Jón Ólafsson, Professor of Comparative Cultural Studies, Mrs. Stefanía Óskarsdóttir, Associate Professor, School of Social Sciences, Faculty of Political Science, wife of Rector Benediktsson, Mr. Frierik Jónsson, son of Rector Benediktsson and Mrs. Óskarsdóttir. The Embassy of Iceland to the Russian Federation was represented by H.E. Mr. Albert Jónsson, Ambassador of Iceland to the Russian Federation, and Mrs. Irina Bolshakova.

HSE and Berkeley to Conduct Joint Research

The HSE Institute of Education and the University of California – Berkeley (USA) have signed a memorandum to jointly administer an international Student Experience in the Research University (SERU) Consortium until 2020. The memorandum calls for the two universities to implement a major four-year project on higher education studies involving over 30 universities from various countries.

HSE Signed Agreement on Student Exchange with University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna

HSE School of Logistics of the Faculty of Business and Management has signed a partnership agreement concerning student exchange programmes with the University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna.

HSE Expanding International Cooperation in the Humanities

In 2016, the Higher School of Economics will be the first Russian university to become an associate member of a large project being carried out by the Freie Universität Berlin’s Dahlem Humanities Center. The project, entitled the Thematic Network Principles of Cultural Dynamics, aims to strengthen international cooperation in humanities research. Its objective is to study the factors that affect the cultural processes in the history of humanity’s development.
