The research is devoted to the development of methods for the study of preschool children's opinion. The thematic focus of the research is preschool as a place of day care children, where they realize their goals and desires, embodied in everyday practices. The preschool is considered not only as an educational institution, but as a common home for a social group, who has its own norms and values, a special world of meanings that constitute their "childhood" culture. The study allows seeing the functioning of preschool from the perspective of children as independent actors operating in its own logic and with its meaning in the spatiality of a kindergarten. How they perceive "social order", the norms and rules of staying in a kindergarten? What kind of activity in a preschool do they express? The work could be applied to develop a constructivist approach to the study of the world of childhood.To achieve this goal the strategy of multimethod qualitative research will be applied. The first stage will involve the using of 3 projective methods: the interview-game (at least 18 interviews), the method of group quests (special type of game-oriented focus group) (at least 3 groups), drawing methods (at least 30 pictures) and interpretation of drawings by the children themselves. On the second phase "secondary" reflection will be used: the collected on the first stage material will be evaluated and interpreted by experts (educators, sociologists, parents, psychologists, etc.) to triangulate and verify the results of the first phase of the study. Because of the project has methodological orientation, the project contains the comparative analysis of three projective techniques, their facilities and limitation, and role of expert interviews of the second stage. The study, which is planned to be published in a series of articles in leading journals, can be used to develop teaching methods of work with preschool children, for qualitative evaluation of the preschool services, and for use in further studies of children’s everyday life, children's games, communication strategies, and children’s identity ets.
