Межотраслевое неравенство в зарплатах и структура занятости под воздействием шоков в потребительских предпочтениях
The project explores the response of the wage inequality, unemployment rate, prices and outputs to shocks in demand. This response is tackled with general equilibrium modeling. The economy consists of several hi-tech sectors characterized by monopolistic competition of single-product firms producing varieties of differentiated goods and one traditional sector with perfect competition. Consumers are homogeneous. They are endowed by an additive separable unspecified utility. Individuals are heterogeneous as workers. Working skills are sector specific. Workers mobile inside industries but immobile between them. The labor market exhibits some frictions: re-jected job market candidates fail to find a new job immediately. Different labor mar-kets are balanced such that the expected wages over all sectors are identical. Employers and employees agree the wage upon bargaining mechanism keeping in mind these expected wages.
