Discovering Art in Every Form

Visiting an art exhibition is a great way to combat the November blues. In this article, we will suggest three places art lovers can visit in Moscow. Do not miss your chance to see paintings by Korovin, Aivazovsky, and Polenov or enjoy the beauty of costume jewellery worn at court.

Aivazovsky, Vereshchagin, Nesterov, Polenov—Collector's Choice

Museum of Music

This exhibition features paintings from the collection of Nikolai Golovanov, a Russian conductor and composer. Eleven works by the most significant figures in Russian art are displayed. Although the exhibition is rather small, it includes works that have never been displayed in public before, such as Etude. Summer Landscape by Levitan and Golden Calf by Vasnetsov. Visitors can also enjoy classical music compositions chosen specially to match every painting.

The exhibits date from the eighteenth century to the beginning of the nineteenth, and their diversity and historical significance will impress even the most avid art enthusiast.
