A music festival in Sokolniki, theatre performances in Bauman Garden, a quest in Tagansky Park, and other thrilling events.

Summer Season Opens at Moscow Parks on May 1

On May 1, 2017, the summer season officially kicks off in Moscow’s parks. Each park has prepared a special event programme.

Gorky Park

12 pm – 10 pm

Gorky Park runners race, fixie bike race, free bike rental and quest by Electra Stations, exercise sessions by WorldClass, and laugh yoga by Yoga Journal. Young bands playing on the park alleys and opening of new sports venues.

Muzeon Arts Park

12 pm – 10 pm

Dancing competitions and workshops.

Sokolniki Park

2 pm – 9 pm

Music festival featuring Dezery, Cruel Tie, Glintshake, Ocean Jet, and Brazzaville.

Hermitage Garden

1 pm – 6 pm

Poetic performances by Moscow theatre actors. Dancing workshops; yoga and Qigong.

Bauman Garden

1 pm – 7 pm

Festival in the style of avant-garde May Demonstrations from the 1920s. Performances in theatre, poetry, and Soviet music.

Krasnaya Presnya Park

1 pm – 6 pm

Jazz concert featuring young Russian musicians and singers.

Park Pobedy on Poklonnaya Gora

1 pm – 7 pm

Concert featuring popular youth bands. Extreme skating and cheerleading performances.

Izmaylovsky Park

1 pm – 7 pm

Parade with pioneers, drummers and stilt-walkers. Soviet songs and other music. Exhibition of retro cars, posters and photos.

Festival events will also take place at other venues, including Kuzminki Park, Sadovniki Park, Perovsky Park, Fili Park, Babushkinski Park, Vorontsovsky Park, Severnoe Tushino Park, Lianozovsky Park, Goncharovsky Park, Artem Borovik Park, and Sirenevy Garden.
