2017 Projects

Project 1: 'Welcome Aboard: Info Support for International Staff across Campuses'

The ‘Welcome Aboard: Info Support for International Staff across Campuses’ project brings together representatives from all of HSE’s regional campuses. This project mainly aims to use the existing experience of Moscow campus in developing English-language website for international faculty on current business processes, so as to adapt it to the needs which typically affect foreign faculty at each of HSE’s campuses in St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Perm. The project’s target audience includes potential and current foreign faculty working at the University and various administrative departments, which are engaged in providing these employees with support at HSE campuses.

Project 2: 'IFUND NAVIGATOR'

The objective of this project is to provide HSE’s academic staff, enterprising researchers and teachers, and other users of the University’s innovative structures with up-to-date and accessible information on possible sources of financing (for research and projects) in regards to innovation-focused activities and entrepreneurship. It also provides information on the mechanisms for receiving such financing and on the existing services (infrastructure) which provide support to innovative activities and entrepreneurship at HSE.

The project seeks to develop an IT solution for the search, aggregation and display of information about the existing fundraising opportunities for innovation activities and entrepreneurship, as well as the opportunities for receiving grants and taking part in competitions for small-scale innovative enterprises, which are actively using HSE’s innovative structure.

Project 3: 'Library of Best Practices for Promoting Continuing Professional Development Programmes'

This project aims at organizing exchange of experience and know-how between continuing professional development (CPD) programmes at HSE in regards to promotion . Our University has seen a recent growth in the number and variety of its CPD programmes offered for the outside market. Through this project, a shared space for collaboration among experts and specialists will be created, along with an electronic resource – an e-library of the best practices for promoting CPD programmes. This, in turn, will improve the promotion of the University’s CPD programmes, boost revenues from these services, and enhance the HSE brand as a key centre of continuing education.

Project 4: 'One-Stop Front Officie for Students'

Project objective – enhancing interaction between students and programme offices in regards to obtaining information and official documents.
This project has two key components:
1. ‘One-Stop Front Office for Students Applying for Transfer from Another University’ E-service.
- making transfers from other academic institutions as transparent as possible, for both students and HSE employees. In this respect, an HSE internal regulation shall be drawn up which sets standardized forms and procedures for dealing with the university transfer paperwork. This service will help to ensure the timely processing of documents which are governed by both internal and federal regulations,and often should occur in a very short time-frame;
2. ‘One-Stop Front Office for Students’ E-service
- creating a single portal for both students and Study office managers which could speed up the issue of official documents through providing standardized templates and a tracking system for documents requests and issue.
