Polina Sedlova received a grant at a youth forum in Kyrgyzstan

Polina Sedlova, 3rd year student of the Bachelor’s Programme “International Relations” of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs of the HSE University, presented the draft Model of the EAEU at the Youth Forum of the CIS and the EAEU on August 25-26. Funding for the implementation of the project will be allocated by the Gorchakov Fund.

“In cooperation with delegates from Belarus, as well as representatives of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, we have developed a draft EAEU Model to involve youth in promoting Eurasian integration. The first model will be held in Minsk, where the most enterprising and talented representatives of the EAEU countries will gather. Our goal is to strengthen international ties and achieve unity of values in the space of the Eurasian Economic Union,” says Polina.

At the opening of the Kelechek (Future) Youth Forum, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov and Chairman of the EEC Board Mikhail Myasnikovich noted the growing importance of the CIS and EAEU Youth Agenda for Eurasian integration. During the event, eight panel discussions were held on four tracks: young civil servants, young entrepreneurs, creative youth, education and community projects. Anastasia Likhacheva, Dean of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, acted as an expert from the Higher School of Economics and the moderator of the discussion.

The authors of the “EAEU Model” took into account the wishes of statesmen and experts: the developed project is intended to become a popular platform for discussions and exchange of experience between the older and younger generations.
