schools in 14 regions across Russia were visited this year by HSE students taking part in a programme to tell school-age pupils about the university. Approximately 2,000 upper-class pupils took part in these sessions.

Students from all years and educational programmes are eligible to participate in the programme. Their role is to talk about the university in the schools they once attended; this generally takes place when they travel home during holidays and vacation periods.

Since the beginning of the current academic year, students have visited schools in Moscow, Archangelsk, Lipetsk, Tula, Vologda, Ivanovo, Kazan, Petrozavodsk, the Republic of Adygea, the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Smolensk Region, the Sverdlovsk Region and others.

Upper-class pupils taking part in the sessions are interested in what it takes to become an HSE student, what programmes are offered at the university apart from economics, how the educational process is structured, and the opportunities that await university alumni after graduation. Their questions frequently concern student life, dormitories, and financial aid.

The reports of students who have already visited their schools are sent to the Office for Occupational Guidance and Gifted Education. New participants interested in the programme are welcome and can learn more at the webpage (in Russian).
