Medieval Studies

The programme trains specialists in the humanities with a wide range of competencies who are well-versed in medieval culture and the foundations of modern European civilization. The first of its kind in Russia, this Master’s programme combines history, history of philosophy, history of art, literary criticism, Asian studies and jurisprudence. With its interdisciplinary approach, the programme is designed to bridge the long-existing gaps between numerous disciplines in Russian academia. Graduates are employable not only in scientific fields in Russia and abroad, but also in rapidly developing scientific and educational projects, cultural administration, journalism, and the publishing world.
