About the Programme

Logistics and supply chain management (SCM) are the most susceptible sectors of the economy to digital innovation. The digital transformation of supply chains of business organizations has already become a fact in the Russian Federation, and the growth rate of digitalization of logistics is significantly ahead of other industries. More and more consumers are actively using digital technologies and in order to meet their expectations and successfully compete in the market, it is necessary to introduce and apply new digital technological solutions in logistics and SCP. Customer behavior is increasingly associated with personalization, time savings, increased environmental requirements, convenience, and the desire for multi-channel service, which in itself initiates the use of digital logistics solutions.

A fast, dynamic and flexible supply chain in all logistics channels helps companies optimize product availability and increase profitability. Companies strive to develop their supply chains for integrated inventory management at the level of each counterparty of the chain, with the achievement of end-to-end visibility of goods and transport flows in real time, dynamic order execution and return management to ensure the continuity of business processes.

The introduction of modern digital technologies in business makes it possible to optimize key processes, promptly receive and quickly process large volumes of relevant information, use artificial intelligence and predictive analytics to make informed decisions on planning and managing logistics operations, as well as reliable control and monitoring of counterparty actions in supply chains. The Purpose of the Programme

The purpose of the programme is to train highly qualified logisticians in Russia – integrated logistics managers, supply chain coordinators, analysts and researchers who know the international methodology of strategic logistics and supply chain management in various sectors of the economy based on the integrated paradigm and the use of innovative digital technologies.

The Master's programme provides solutions to the following key tasks:

• in-depth study of advanced concepts and technologies of integrated logistics and SCP, allowing companies to successfully compete in a dynamic digital business environment;
• formation of skills for the development of innovative management solutions, logistics mission and strategy of the company in the digital economy;
• mastering the principles and methods of analytical research and audit of strategic problems of logistics and SCP development both at the level of business organization and at the macroeconomic level;
• mastering models and methods of strategic logistics and supply chain management, evaluating the effectiveness of the strategy based on a balanced scorecard, logistics coordination mechanisms in digital supply chains;
• study of modern systems of integrated information support for strategic planning and management of logistics and supply chains in the digital economy;

A special feature of the programme is the focus on the systematic solution of strategic problems in the context of the evolution of logistics and SCP in the digital economy. The programme forms a modern understanding of the processes of solving strategic tasks both at the level of the company's logistics department and at the level of the supply chain management structure. The knowledge and skills acquired as part of the master's programme will allow graduates to work in logistics departments and departments of the USP on strategic planning, organizational development, as well as in analytical departments and consulting companies.
