The HSE University Diploma Supplement is an official electronic document issued by HSE University in Russian and English. It is available in the Register of HSE University Diploma Certificates after entering the data shown on the HSE Diploma.

The document is often required by graduates applying to foreign universities or by international companies during the recruitment process. Each element of the curriculum listed in the Supplement is presented in CTS credits (Credit Transfer System), making the HSE degree comparable to those of foreign universities.

The purpose of the Diploma Supplement is to describe the nature, level, content, and status of the educational programme completed by the student.

Like the HSE University Diploma, it is not a state-issued document and does not replace the main degree certificate.

Contents

The Diploma Supplement includes the following sections:

1. Information about the graduate: full name, date, diploma number (since 2020, the custom HSE diploma number is also stated).
2. Qualification (degree) details: educational programme, specialisation/concentration (major; if applicable), qualification awarded, date of award, language of instruction.
3. Education level details: degree programme title, specialisation/concentration (if applicable), minimum required credits, and admission requirements.
4. Programme content and academic results: type of study, academic performance records, GPA, grading scale, and credit system details.
5. Professional skills: professional status and potential further academic pathways.
6. Additional information about HSE University.
7. General description of the national education system.
8. (Paper copy only) Information regarding the HSE University official certifying the document, including their position and initials.

Eligibility

The Diploma Supplement is issued to individuals who have successfully passed the Final State Certification or the Final Certification upon completion of their degree programme.

Processing Time

The electronic HSE Diploma Supplement becomes available in the Register on the date the official state diploma and the custom HSE University Diploma are issued. Documents can be verified either by scanning the QR code on the HSE Diploma or by entering the graduate's surname, first name, and diploma series and number in the Register search form.

The maximum preparation period for a paper copy of the electronic Diploma Supplement is 30 business days from the date of application.
