Accessibility

HSE University strives to make the educational environment as accessible and convenient as possible for all students.

Special safe routes have been laid out to the buildings on Pokrovsky Boulevard and Staraya Basmannaya with the assistance of the Passenger Mobility Centre of the Moscow Metro.

The univeristy buildings, which accommodate students with visual impairments, are equipped with Braille printers, and during their studies, HSE University provides blind students with portable Braille displays. The building on Pokrovsky Boulevard has a stationary video magnifier, specialised software with voice output for students with visual impairments, and an FM system for students with hearing impairments. Additionally, sign language interpretation services are provided, and HSE University has contracted for the sign and tactile support of students with hearing impairments.

The Learning Management System (LMS) and the portal of HSE University are adapted for use by people with disabilities.

Students with disabilities and special needs can access equipment from the Resource Educational Methodological Centre (REMC) for the education of disabled persons and individuals with special needs, affiliated with the RSGU, with assistance available through the REMC RSGU call centre at 8-800-301-67-46.

For a list of buildings and complexes with accessibility information, visit the HSE University Buildings page.

Access for parents (guardians, technical assistants) to HSE University buildings: If these individuals need to visit the university for any reason, they should order a temporary pass. This can be arranged by contacting the manager of the Department for the Support of Specific Student Categories, M.Yu. Kosyachenko, or by approaching the degree programme's study office.

Also, review the information about HSE University dormitories.

If you require special accommodation conditions, it is advisable to inform the accommodation responsible parties as early as possible (preferably before enrolment); discuss with them everything related to the accessibility of academic buildings, dormitories, the transport system, etc.

If you have mobility restrictions and require additional assistance, inform the manager of the Department for the Support of Specific Student Categories, M.Yu. Kosyachenko.
