Study Assistants for Students with Disabilities
Students with disabilities at HSE may receive help from a study assistant.
Study assistants are HSE students who provide assistance to disabled and quota degree students on a voluntary basis (this may be both a paid or unpaid position).
To receive the assistance, a student with a disability must contact their Programme Office.
-
Study assistants can help with the following:
Coordinating academic activities of students with a disability (e.g., face-to-face, via e-mail, etc., including individual consultations or in groups) for the purpose of academic adaptation at HSE; consulting on regular basis on most challenging courses, including help with homework and during the examination period; explaining the rules of the University, etc.
-
Facilitating contact with academic supervisors, programme coordinators, course mentors and professors in regards to regular study processes.
-
Assisting in organizational processes with respect to HSE infrastructure, dormitories, printing learning aids; ensuring access to data/information, etc.
-
Providing support during crisis or controversial situations (with the assistance of the Programme Office coordinators/other HSE department managers).
