HSE Online Student Portfolio

The Online Student Portfolio (OSP) service on HSE’s Learning Management System (LMS) is available in the Personal Account after the preliminary registration. It has both English and Russian interface.

With OSP, you can record your achievements in different fields:

• education;
• research;
• internships and projects;
• cultural and creative activities;
• social activities;
• sports;
• continuing education.

The bulk of data is integrated automatically into the OSP from your personal file: your academic performance, term papers and theses, student exchanges in Russia or abroad with a list of courses taken. Furthermore, in OSP you can view your current GPA (grade point average), which determines your academic performance according to international academic standards.

Students who have published a paper in an academic journal and participate in a variety of conferences can add information in the Research section with a reference to the necessary supporting documentation (e.g., scans of publications, a hyperlink to online publications, etc.). In addition, you can mention your participation in student research competitions held at HSE and work activities under the auspices of the research/project-based subdivisions of HSE and other organizations.

Information on your places of internship, and a list of projects conducted by you as part of the curriculum is available in the Internships and Projectssection.

Student extra-curricular achievements can be recorded in the Cultural and Creative Activities, Social Activities,and Sports sections.

Recent developments in MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) and CPE (Continuing Professional Education) allow students to become more knowledgeable and more engaged in a particular field. In the OSP section Continuing Education, you may add completed MOOC and continuing professional development courses with certificates confirming your proficiency.

The application for an Increased State Academic Scholarship must be submitted on the basis of achievements recorded in the student’s OSP.

A student’s OSP is available for viewing to all HSE staff who are registered in the LMS. Students may select achievements for public viewing.
