Course Syllabus

Abstract

This ESP course aligns with the Applied Mathematics major and successfully integrates the topics in this field into English-language learning. It will provide you with extensive practice and expand your vocabulary and language skills, required for both work and studies. The course covers a wide variety of areas, such as linear algebra, mathematical analysis, probability theory and mathematical statistics, numerical algorithms, programming, neural networks, etc. By the end of this course, students will be able to read professional literature in English, understand lectures and talks on professional topics, work with technical documentation in English, present their knowledge and at a group case interview, speak about the main tools and processes of Maths in English, communicate with colleagues and classmates about their professional interests. The course is highly recommended for students who aim to pursue a career in the international environment of scientific research, finance, data science, data analytics, information technology, and many others spheres.
