This programme offers an integrative approach to the study of history, including analysis not only of historical facts and processes, but also of human experiences and cultural transformations. It combines traditional fields of historical research with new comparative, interdisciplinary, and practical courses, the study of the auxiliary sciences of history, as well as ancient and modern languages.
By exploring the lives of individuals, communities, and nations in the past, students gain an informed understanding of historical processes and learn how societies function throughout history and in the present. Students will also have a chance to sharpen their analytical skills, learn to pose questions and search for answers.
The programme aims to produce specialists with broad training in the humanities who are capable of furthering their education through Master’s and PhD programmes, or pursuing successful careers in a wide range of non-academic fields.
