Course Syllabus

Abstract

The course “Chinese 1” refers to the basic part of professional courses. Students start studying the discipline in the first year without initial knowledge. A feature of this program is the preparation of a specialist who speaks Chinese on a level corresponding to the HSK level 2 of the standardized Chinese language qualification exam of the People's Republic of China or the A1 + level of language proficiency according to the Common European CEFR system. As the course is for those who start learning Chinese, the syllabus is in English for your convenience. However, the course will be taught fully in Chinese, with the consideration of your level, because there are both local and international students who do not share a common first language.

  • The purpose of mastering the discipline "Practical course of a second foreign language (Chinese)" in the 1st year is to train a specialist who speaks Chinese to the extent that allows him to further use it to solve professional tasks of pedagogical, scientific, methodological and research, translation, advisory, communicative and organizational management activities at the level of corresponding to the level of the standardized Chinese language qualification exam of the PRC — HSK 2 or A1+ level of language proficiency in the Pan-European CEFR system.

  • knows the main dishes of Chinese cuisine, knows how to make orders and pay in Chinese restaurants
  • Is able to support a basic conversation on the topic of family: to represent family members, to name names, age, profession and occupation, etc

  • Introductory phonetic course. (4) Acquaintance.

  • Introductory phonetic course. (6) The story of the family: family members, the question of the name, surname, the question of age. Professions and occupation.
  • Basic course. (7) Familiarity: introducing yourself. Study. Country names.
  • Basic course. (8) Public spaces and spatial orientation. Movement around the city and types of transport. University campus.
