Comprehensive participation in the integration processes of the Big East Asia (North-East and South-East Asia, Central and part of South Asia) will give both Russia and Japan an opportunity to strengthen their positions as a great regional powers and dramatically improve the flexibility of foreign and economic policy.The process of Greater East Asia’s restoring as one the world’s main economic centers and a sharp increase in the role of the largest countries of the continent is of great importance for Russia in terms of global change. In particular, Japan is playing a key role in the region, claiming not only for a regional place but also for a global one.Subject Analysis of Russian-Japanese relationsTopic Russia-Japan political cooperation The purpose of the study is to give evidence-based answers to crucial questions arising due to the transformation of the regional security complex.
