The present paper is devoted to the problem of foreign direct investments in Russian economy. Speaking more precisely, the research is concerned with the question, which indices and figures of national companies are crucial for foreign investors, when considering the possibility of putting money into Russian metallurgical business. Also, innovation activity of FDI recipient regions and its influence on their investment attractiveness is the point of principal concern.
