The Government's Crisis Communications in Reaction to Disasters and Collapses of an International Scale

This paper is devoted to the research in the field of the current governmental crisis communications in reaction to disasters and collapses of an international scale. The studying of relevant literature as well as the in-depth interviews with the specialists of the crisis PR field are the key instruments of the research. In addition, this paper examines the crisis communications of two prominent nuclear crisis - 2011 Fukushima Crisis and 1986 Сhernobyl Crisis. Indeed, this methods as well as theoretical research lead to the revelation of the most effective type of сommunication, making a classification based on the " proactive" or " close" types of communication. Precisely, the whole project is aimed to reveal mostly effective type in the situations, where the disasters and collapses of an international scale are taking place. Therefore, the basic definitions are given, the main conception are revealed. Afterwards, the comparative analysis of two communication strategies is provided as well as the conclusion based on the results of the research.
