Development Trends of a Family Business in Russia

<p align="center"><strong>Annotation to the master&#39;s thesis Radulov N.G. on</strong></p><p align="center"><strong>&quot;Development Trends of a Family Business in Russia&quot;</strong></p><p align="center"><strong>Head: associate professor Shubnyakova N. G.</strong></p><p>Family business - one of important factors of ensuring positive dynamics of growth of national economy by providing the competitive market environment. The statistics of European Commission says that not less than 2/3 all firms in the developed countries &ndash; family. Now, it is possible to say that in Russia also there are family companies and research of tendencies of development and problems, characteristic for the family companies, becomes actual.</p><p>The purpose of this work is identification of tendencies of development of family business in Russia.</p><p>In this work we consider the evolution of views on family business, prerequisites of development of family business in Russia. For identification of tendencies of development of family business the Russian and foreign researches of features of family business are analyzed. Discusses the competitive advantages of family businesses over the usual form of entrepreneurship. One chapter is devoted to the empirical research of the family business, explores the factors affecting the future development of the family business , such as the transfer of the business to the next generation , the problem of hiring managers from outside,&nbsp; the problems of legal regulation of family business. Research was conducted in the form of questioning and interviewing of owners of business. The authors interviewed 48 owners of Russian companies.</p><p>By results of research, the main problem disturbing to development of family business was revealed &ndash; transfer by inheritance. Owners of business see its decision in education of successors: development of desire in them to continue business; creation of policy of continuity, preparation of the documents regulating transfer of business by inheritance.&nbsp; Results of the conducted research showed that unlike Europe the Russian businessmen by business transfer in the majority don&#39;t use these documents, only 13% of respondents have similar documents. Also it was revealed that in case of lack of interest at children to family business the majority of respondents (50%) will seek to motivate successors to participation.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
