<p>Nowadays small business is a dynamic sector that has an impact on the sustainable economic growth. Therefore the government small business support has an important role. In this context, this paper analyzes the effectiveness of government policy in the field of small business support in Russia on the example of Moscow case using correlation method to research dependence of socio - economic indicators of small business development and implemented state budget to support small business. It was assumed that government support measures have nontarget nature, whereby there is a weak influence on the socio-economic indicators growth of small business development. In order to improve the less influential support measures it was proposed operational and program methods of modernization</p>
