Analysis of the Characteristics of the Introduction of the Concept of «Lean Manufacturing» in Russian Companies

<p>The diploma is devoted to the theoretical foundations of the concept of Lean production, methods and experience of its implementation at the production sites of Russian companies with a view to identifying features.</p><p>The study includes an analysis of production systems of several Russian companies which have successfully implemented Lean production through the creation of their own production systems.</p><p>The study is highly relevant due to the fact that there is a need to synthesize features of Lean production concept implementation typical for Russian companies to use this information when transforming the organization with fewer losses in time and money and in order for managers of firms to be prepared for possible problems and difficulties.</p><p>The choice of the topic of the diploma is determined by growing interest in Lean production among medium and large businesses in Russia.</p><p>The purpose of the diploma is to analyze the features of the concept in Russian companies.</p><p>The objectives of the study are:</p><p>1) to study the principles, values ​​and fundamental methods and tools Lean production concept;</p><p>2) to study the basic Lean production concept implementation algorithms;</p><p>3) to analyze the experience of Russian companies which have successfully implemented the concept of Lean production at its production sites ;</p><p>4) to abstract the features of Lean production concept implementation in Russian companies.</p><p>The goal of the present research will be achieved by:</p><p>1) a content analysis of scientific sources and literature reviewing;</p><p>2) the analysis of the documentation of Russian companies which have implemented Lean production;</p><p>3) the analysis of the document of Russian company, for which it is possible to make some improvements on the basis of Lean.</p><p>The diploma consists of 66 pages and includes an introduction, three chapters, divided into paragraphs, conclusion and bibliography .</p><p>The introduction sets out the general characteristics of the paper, the urgency of the research topic, goals, objectives, object and subject of the study .</p><p>The first chapter explores the theoretical foundations of Lean production concept.</p><p>The second chapter analyzes the different production systems of large Russian companies: &laquo;KAMAZ&raquo;, &laquo;GAZ&raquo;, &laquo;ZMZ&raquo; and &laquo;Rosatom&raquo; corporation; outlines key principles and values​​, and also show the economic effect obtained from the application of the concept .</p><p>The third section analyzes the activities of &laquo;MMK&raquo; to identify the main problems and offer practical recommendations for improving the production system using the philosophy, methods and tools of Lean production.</p><p>Finally the main results and conclusions of the diploma are formulated.</p>
