<p style="margin-left:46.35pt;"><strong>A)&nbsp; </strong><strong>Main research information</strong></p><p>During the research process, there have been carried out basic tasks and achieved the goal of the research.</p><p><strong>Object</strong> of the research is planning of social and economic development of small towns the Yaroslavl region.</p><p><strong>Subject</strong> of the research are planning documents of socio - economic development of small towns the Yaroslavl region.</p><p>Main <strong>purpose</strong> of work is to identify main ways of improving the planning system of social and economic development of small towns the Yaroslavl region.</p><p><strong>The main objectives of the study</strong>. Firstly, to review the current state of the system planning of socio- economic development of the Yaroslavl region, and to determine the place of small towns in the area of ​​major strategic planning documents. Secondly, to develop a methodology for the analysis of system planning of socio- economic development of small towns and test it on the example of the small towns of Yaroslavl region. Thirdly, to analyze the planning documents of socio- economic development of the Yaroslavl region and their monitoring aspects by the comparing the cities and their grouping in accordance with the selected criteria. Finally, to develop a system of recommendations for improving the organization of planning system of social and economic development for small towns in Yaroslavl region.</p><p>B) <strong>Main sources of information</strong> - normative municipal legislation and planning documents of socio - economic development.</p><p><strong>The methodology of work</strong>:</p><p style="margin-left:46.35pt;">1)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Data collection and analysis of planning documents of small towns in Yaroslavl region and their monitoring.</p><p style="margin-left:46.35pt;">2)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Comparative analysis of &nbsp;planning documents of small towns in Yaroslavl region</p><p style="margin-left:46.35pt;">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin-left:46.35pt;">C) <strong>Main results of the research:</strong></p><p style="margin-left:46.35pt;">1) The author has developed an analysis technique for the system planning of socio-economic development of small towns.</p><p style="margin-left:46.35pt;">2) The author has revealed the current state of the planning system of social and economic development of small towns the Yaroslavl region, as well as determine their place in the socio-economic planning of the Yaroslavl region.</p><p style="margin-left:46.35pt;">3) The author develops base of recommendations for improving the organization of system of social and economic planning for small towns in Yaroslavl region.</p><p style="margin-left:46.35pt;">4) The author has analyzed the planning documents of socio-economic development of small towns in Yaroslavl region and monitoring of realization by comparing the strategic plans of cities and their grouping in accordance with the selected criteria.</p>
